Design Process

The design process begins with a consultation, where ideas, style and fabrics are discussed. Sketches and samples of fabrics are then prepared for approval. Then follows a first fitting of a mock up (toile) in calico to get your fit and proportion right before the garment progresses into making up in the final fabric. Adjustments to details and fit are made along the entire process - it is of utmost importance to us that your finished garment fits perfectly. Some designs may require two or more fittings at the calico stage, and wedding dresses will require more fittings at every stage. After the consultation there is no obligation to continue further if you so wish.
